Job Description
SUBJECT: WORD PROCESSOR – SPECIAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
REPORTS TO: TAMMY MURRAY, DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL EDUCATION AND INTERVENTION SERVICES
ANTICIPATED START DATE: IMMEDIATELY

ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:
This position is accountable for performing office work of ordinary difficulty and responsibility calling for care and accuracy in detail and for individual judgment in the application of a standardized routine and compliance with definite instructions or regulations; or to operate a computer in connection with such duties; and to perform related work as required.


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (to be included along with other responsibilities)

  1. Responsible for showing excellent customer service skills including a calm and professional phone manner and the ability to take complete and accurate messages.
  2. Responsible for multitasking in a busy office environment where there is a continual need to prioritize.
  3. Responsible for proficiency in the use of Google Drive, Microsoft Office including development and use of Google Docs, Sheets, Excel, spreadsheets, graphs, charts, PowerPoint, Slides and word processing.
  4. Responsible for performing basic arithmetical computations in tabulating data and in keeping basic accounts.
  5. Responsible for sorting and filing letters, reports, and memoranda according to prescribed method.
  6. Responsible for acting as receptionist, routing visitors to proper office or employee.
  7. Responsible for being able to operate any and all common office machines.
