POSITION SUMMARY:

This position’s purpose is to assist multiple areas of the Food & Beverage Operation within the Arena and Convention Center. Although this position primarily oversees all beverage employees, it will also assist with suites, concessions and warehouse in the absence of those supervisors or on a as needed basis. Primary report will be the Director of Food & Beverage but will also report to additional Food & Beverage Managers within the department based on the duties assigned.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for arena and convention center bars.
Hiring and Training of all Food & Beverage Bartenders and Barbacks.
Fulfill the service per each Banquet Event Orders (BEO) pertaining to Bars
Maintain all equipment cleanliness and annual maintenance.
Attention to detail and consistency in every aspect of service is a must
Position is very hands on with excessive interaction with clients during events.
Record keeping (Attendance, Schedules, PAFs, daily event reporting)
Other duties deemed necessary by Food & Beverage Managers, and F&B Director.
Receive orders, store in proper place, and complete administrative paperwork in accordance with company standards, policies and procedures.
Supervise bartenders, barbacks, suite attendants, and assist with warehouse staff.
Assist when needed with warehouse schedule ensuring all events and deliveries have proper coverage.
Oversee the delivery of product from warehouse to locations in a timely and efficient manner and in accordance with company service standards.
Oversees the pulling of product to fill transfers and verifies accuracy.
Conducts monthly beverage inventory, and complete spot checks on inventory.
Follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment.
Ability to interact with co-workers in order to assure compliance with company standards.
Ensures proper and timely set up and cleanup of all areas.
Ensure customer service, proper inventory control, cash control, food production, set up, clean up and compliance of all company rules and policies
Ensure state and local health requirements are met for food handlers and alcoholic beverage servers
Ability to observe customers for determining whether service of alcohol is appropriate in light of local ABC laws.
Assist with payroll by verifying hours and function coding for Bartenders and Barbacks
Assist with keeping Appetize system current.
Maintain uniform standards, tip reporting of Bartenders and Barbacks
Keep accurate records of Alcohol Certifications of ALL Food and Beverage Employees.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervises all Part-time bartenders and barbacks and assist with warehouse and suites (when applicable), to ensure all those positions are providing the services required in a safe and timely fashion.

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED required
At least 5 years of experience in a hospitality facility servicing food and beverage.
ServSafe certified (Food Handler, Allergen, and Alcohol trainings) within 1st 90 days
SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to be creative with presentations and maintain a quality product.
Attention to detail and service oriented.
Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include nights, weekends, mid-shifts, early mornings.
Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks.
Excellent organizational, planning, communication and inter-personal skills.
Strong orientation to customer service and ability to work with other staff members in the facility.
Advanced oral and written communication skills.
Able to push/pull/lift 50lbs on a consistent basis.
Ability to perform arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10 – 30 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds, up and down stairs up to 400 feet about 15 times per shift.
COMPUTER SKILLS

Intermediate computer skills of all Microsoft Office products, especially with MS Excel
