Land Surveying Technician:
As a land surveying technician at WDA Design Group, you would be assisting our Professional
Land Surveyor(s) and other survey staff in various field and office survey tasks including:
- Property line
- Topographic
- Construction
- ALTA title insurance
- Land court surveys using
State-of-the-art equipment:
- Total stations
- Data collectors
- GNSS receivers
You will also work on office survey calculations and plan preparation using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assisting Registered Professional Land Surveyor(s) with CAD productions, boundary
- and utilities research, boundary analysis, property and easement line preparations, legal
- descriptions, and setting up field crew (computing survey points and drafting
- worksheets)
- Processing of raw field data
- Performing QA/QC checks
- Coordinating and working with field crews and other office staff
- Performing field survey work as required.
Qualifications and Skills Needed:
- High School Diploma, Associates Degree or 2-Year Certificate
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, project coordination, and interaction with other design
- services
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Eye for detail
- Good communication skills (graphic, verbal and written)
- Must be dependable, self-directed, organized and self-motivated
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment that is in a growth mode
- Willingness to learn surveying field operations and equipment operation (total station, GPS, data collectors)
